Souderton, PA — March 9, 2016 — AR has assembled a Board of Directors with a diverse group of professionals to help assure that the organization remains on its path of success well into the future. This group has varied expertise in the fields of finance, consulting, and manufacturing. Each member was chosen for the skills in their respective fields which will further the company’s goals in this advisory capacity.
Donald “Shep” Shepherd remains as Chairman of The Board. Internal members of the AR organization serving on the Board are Ethel Shepherd and Jim Maginn, President. External Board of Directors members are:
David R. Crews
With more than 40 years’ experience in the banking industry, Mr. Crews is currently Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager at TD Bank, where he manages relationships involving loans of over $1 million. He was previously a Senior Vice President at Harleysville National Bank as well as a V.P. of Commercial Lending and Business Development at several other regional banking organizations.
He is a Board member of The Montgomery County Industrial Development Corporation, and the Montgomery County Community College Foundation. Mr. Crews’ professional affiliations include RMA, Pennsylvania Bankers Association, North Penn Chamber of Commerce, Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and Chester County Economic Development Council.
Doreen H. Paynton
Mrs. Paynton is Chairman of the Board and one of the founders of Dontech Inc., a 45 year-old ISO-9001-certified corporation that designs and fabricates optical components for electronic displays. This international company serves customers involved in military electronics, medical instrumentation and electronic test equipment. She is the recipient of the Patricia Clatch Outstanding Woman in Business Award (2003), March of Dimes Business Award in 2004, the Exporter of the Year award from the SBA for Dontech, and the 2011 Business Achievement Award from the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Paynton is a V.P. on the Board of Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Advisory Board of Pearl S. Buck International. She has served on several Boards of Directors, including the Foundation Board of Doylestown Hospital, NOVA, the Bucks County Symphony, Council of Lafayette Women (Lafayette College), the Ann Silverman Clinic at Doylestown Hospital, and the Americans for Native Americans.
James Folk
Mr. Folk is a manufacturing executive with over 20 years’ experience and responsibilities that have included Managing Director, CEO, Manufacturing Manager, Manager of Industrial Engineering, Plant Engineering and Quality Control. He is currently Managing Director of The Folk Group, a consulting company specializing in productivity improvement, quality systems, manufacturing engineering and turnaround management. In this position, Mr. Folk has been directly responsible for general manufacturing consulting in over 125 companies in 90 industries, the sale of 27 companies, valuations of 30 companies, and the turnaround of 3 companies.
Mr. Folk has also served as Adjunct Professor, Supervisory Training Programs at Lehigh University and Northampton County Community College. His professional affiliations include Turnaround Management Association, American Foundry Society, and North American Die Casting Association.
