Job Summary:

As the Manager of Quality Assurance, you will administer the company Quality Program, and strive for continuous improvement as it relates to quality, reliability and customer satisfaction. You will plan and manage operations of the Quality department to achieve established quality goals. You will oversee and maintain the ISO 9001:2008 Standard Certification, and function as the Management Representative. You will also act as Quality Rep for the Calibration Laboratory and help to maintain the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for the ISO17025 Standard. You will manage 2-4 employees in the Quality department.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans to support the organization’s business plan and long term strategy.

· Develop, implement, and coordinate quality assurance program to assist in preventing and eliminating defects in new or existing products.

· Maintain Certification to ISO-9001 standard.

· Act as Management Representative whose duties are to ensure that a documented quality system is maintained to achieve the requirements of the Quality Manual. Report on the performance of the system to management in support of the Management Review Process, and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.

· Work with management to establish and maintain company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

· Review/update Quality Manual and quality procedures ensuring they accurately reflects current quality policy and practices.

· Plan, schedule and implement Quality System Audits.

· Respond to customer complaints and quality issues using the proper procedures.

· Facilitate annual Quality Management Review meetings.

· Direct subordinates engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.

· Work with Engineering, Design & Manufacturing and any other departments to ensure quality specifications are identified and attainable.

· Create or assist in writing Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) as needed for inspection purposes.

· Evaluate manufacturing processes, vendors and suppliers in regard to quality.

· Act as Quality Rep for the Calibration Lab and assure quality control of lab using documented procedures. Perform assigned Internal Audits of the Calibration Lab.

· Monitor results of Calibration Lab Proficiency testing per documented requirements and spreadsheets.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree plus 5 years experience; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five plus years supervisory experience required. Proficient in MS Office programs required. Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred. Professional certification with ASQ (American Society for Quality) is preferred.

Job Summary:

As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of one or more lines of RF amplifiers. You will contribute to the development of products that perform within specification and meet cost targets. You will create project schedules, write standards, specifications and technical reports associated with product development, and interact with Marketing and Sales to ensure that the products meet user requirements. You will also interact with all departments to ensure that the products are manufacture-able and maintainable. You will design and develop prototype and preproduction models. Will create assembly methods for the documentation of new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with performing complex engineering experiments to test, prove, or modify theoretical propositions on basis of research findings and experiences of others researching in related technological areas.

· Maintain awareness of the latest technical advances in products, components, and R&D techniques.

· Conduct research on electronic systems to discover facts, or perform research directed toward investigation, evaluation, and application of known electronic engineering theories and principles.

· Design new products and develop new features for existing products meeting performance requirements.

· Ensure through design and regular updates that the products remain manufacture-able.

· Produce bread board and initial production units for new products.

· Troubleshoot and solve problems on new products.

· Evaluate findings to develop new concepts, products, equipment, or processes.

· Assemble prototype and preproduction sub assemblies and related equipment.

· Create harness and wire lists on new units for use by production.

· Strong departmental interaction

· Assist with the specifications and standards required for product development.

· Prepare technical reports for use by engineering or management for long and short-range planning and technical services activities.

· Specify components used in new designs.

· Prepare all required documentation for new products including the operating instruction manuals.

· Manage project schedules and participate on teams as directed.

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· BSEE and 5 years experience or Associates degree and 10 years related RF experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to use RF test and measurement equipment

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
